Which parts of your packaging are recyclable?
All of our shampoo and conditioner bottles* are 100% recyclable- that’s the bottles*, caps and labels. Just rinse and recycle.
Which parts of your packaging are made of recycled plastic?
In 2020 our shampoo and conditioner bottles* will be made from 100% recycled PET. The caps are not yet made of recycled plastic.
Why are the caps not made of recycled plastic?
Polypropylene (PP), the ridged plastic that our caps are made from, is very difficult to source recycled- especially in the large quantities that we need. That’s why our caps are currently made from Virgin PP, but we’re on a mission to find a sustainable solution.
What about the labels?
All of our labels are widely recycled. They may look metallic but this is actually metallic-look ink. You do not need to remove them from your packaging to recycle.
What about your black bottles?
All of our black shampoo and conditioner bottles*, for example the Full resist and Triple Resist ranges, are also 100% recyclable. We only use pigments that we know can be detected by Near Infra-Red (NIR) technology widely used in plastics recycling.
What about your masks and intensives?
Our masks and intensives are not currently made of recycled plastic- but they are next on our list. We’re not perfect but we are on a journey and will find a sustainable solution.
