Second edition of lights on women award,
our initiative for rising female short film directors
In 2021, L'Oréal Paris successfully launched the Lights on Women Award Program which honors the most promising female short film director. The winning film is chosen from the Short Films Competition and La Cinef’s selection at Cannes. The winner will receive a financial support of 20,000 euros as well as from the recognition of cinematic professionals. This valuable support will allow the winner to pursue her projects and contribute to a better representation of women in the film industry. As last year, the award will be presented by Academy Award-winner, L’Oréal Paris spokesperson and Juror Kate Winslet at the Jeune Cinéma dinner on May 27, 2022.
"This year’s Lights on Women Award will continue to break down barriers and encourage talented female filmmakers to achieve their dreams.”
Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, Global Brand President, L’Oréal Paris.
