Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo

This has been my favorite shampoo for so many years the formula and scent was perfect before! This has been changed and I can’t use it anymore! Please please bring back the old formula and smell!!!

Used to be great - I've been using for over 2 decades, even although I did not colour my hair. It added shine and volume. Sadly the formulation has changed, and I end up with limp, greasy hair after washing, conditioning and drying. I need to wash my hair much more often now. I'm going to buy an alternative product after I finish the bottle I have. It was giod for years, but now it is rubbish.

Brought this 2 weeks ago well new bottle and all off a sudden i had such a itchy scalp . Used for 2 years no problem . After reading reviews i found out u have changed the ingrediants . Not happy as i usually buy pouches and inly recently had ran out as i buy in bulk . Having to throw.my bottle away which is annoying as cant afford to be throwing money away .

I am so upset that I can't get the old version of Elvive color protect I've been using for years (and my mother as well). The new smell is disgusting: sickly sweet and overwhelming, stays on the hair after the wash. This is just too much. The shampoo itself got slightly worse, doesn't make my hair amazing any more. Such a shame I've purchase a big bottle. Will look for alternative, probably scent free - now I have this feeling like "any other shampoo could have same sickening smell, how would I kow buying online".

I have used this product for YEARS but the new formula leaves my hair looking greasy & flat. It also smells horrendous, husband commented my hair smelt burnt after washing!!! Absolutely gutted. Now to spend a fortune finding a suitable alternative! Fuming.

I bought this last month and I was disappointed. Changing the ingredients has made it worse — it doesn’t have the same effect or the same smell. It’s awful. I don’t like the new formula.

Bought this shampoo recently having used it a while back totally unaware that this product has changed as packaging was same as before (or very very similar anyway). Smell is awful and very strong frankly quite off putting. It is like washing hair in a perfume. It also doesn't do very much for my oily hair it looks oily and dull by the end of day one, I can usually go for 2 to 3 days between washes. Hair colour seems to last i have used this for 3 weeks now.

I totally agree with all the other one star reviews! Are a regular purchaser of the ‘old’ precious formula this new one is a huge L’Oréal FAIL!

Hi, I have bought the ted bottle colour protect shampoo for years and loved it. Stopped buying the new formula as the smell is too strong snd It leaves my hair limp and feeling heavy, itches my neck. Won’t be buying again. could you please bring back stock of the old formula.

Now, one of the worst shampoos on the market They are actually putting SLS in the conditioner (which is a detergent) which will strip your hair of moisture and cause it to produce more oil, hence the feeling of greasy hair. They have also removed the coconut oil from it as well nad pumped a load of glycerin into it. It's making my hair hard to style and leaving it greasy by the end of the day. I used it for 20 plus years, but never again. I've tried numerous alternatives, and most of them are better than L'oreal, but still not the same. I'm sure the formula change is a cost cutting exercise by some pen pusher with a calculator.

This used to be my favourite shampoo but the formula change has THE most disgusting smell and my hair feels coated and greasy. Sort it out L’Oreal. If this is cost cutting then shame on you as you haven’t cut the cost to the buyer for a sub standard product.

Oh no, what has happened to the shampoo and conditioner I have been using for donkey's years? I keep a stock in, so didn't realise the formula had changed as no announcement was made. I have used the new one three times now and my hair is falling out! It smells terrible, my hair is lank the day after washing and my scalp is itching. I can't believe there was no warning given. What have you done, L'Oreal?

Why have you changed what was a fantastic daily use shampoo and conditioner, so popular it was sold in bulk sizes in every store? Now my hair is greasy immediately after washing, it’s irritated my scalp and it smells artificial. If the prices had gone up to produce I would have paid more! I’ve now thrown out 5 bottles as even my husband won’t use it. Honestly I’m upset, after 7 years using every day I now cannot find anything of similar quality.

been using the colour protect shampoo for years, fab feeling hair, lovely scent....had to purchase some the other day and god knows what you've done but the smell actually knocks me sick! thought it may have been a 'duff' batch but no no....repurchased and it's exactly the same! hair doesn't feel as clean and is visibly greasy after only a few hours....have to find a new shampoo now methinks! top job loreal! 👎

So so disappointed. I used to love this shampoo and conditioner, it made my hair feel so clean and voluminous and fresh. Now, the nice scent is gone and my hair feels greasy the next day. I can barely leave it two days before it desperately needs a wash again! It leaves it coated and feels heavy. Why change the formula? Everyone loved the previous one, a classic example of why change something if it isn't broken. Honestly, the new formula could not be worse. BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!

Used the old formula colour protect shampoo and conditioner for many years. Both had a beautiful fragrance and left my hair soft and shiny. The changed products are unusable. The fragrances are overpowering and smell cheap but the worst aspect is how greasy and coated they leave the hair. Such a shame to have a brilliant product ruined. Cannot buy it again unless the old formulas are restored.

I have used the old and new formula for this project, but I LOVE the new scent (contrary to many other reviews, the new scent is what I noticed first and enjoyed immediately). I have bleached and dyed straight hair and the new formula works very well for me, I can't see much difference between this and the old version; it makes my hair very soft and feels clean yet not dry at all.
